This is important<br \/>\nfor regeneration of the particulate filter and the DeNOx system, which need a<br \/>\ncertain temperature for proper functionality, especially in the light of Euro VI<br \/>\nor stage V emission standards and their emission requirements over life time.<br \/>\nEstablished methods include burner-based systems, systems for hydrocarbon<br \/>\n(HC, i.e. fuel) dosing downstream of the engine, downstream HC conversion in<br \/>\na catalytic converter or a combination of the latter two. However, the high requirements<br \/>\nof today\u2019s and future emission standards can only be partially met<br \/>\nby engine based thermal management. HJS adapts this concept as a self-sufficient<br \/>\nsystem architecture to exhaust aftertreatment. The HJS exhaust gas system<br \/>\nwith active thermal management (SCRT\u00aeTM) uses two interlinked<br \/>\nactuators to ensure that the systems can be operated even with low loads<br \/>\nunder all environmental conditions. This ensures best possible reduction performance<br \/>\nwithout influencing the engine.
